Seeing Difficulties Through God

29 05 2007

A while back, I read F. B. Meyer’s devotional commentary on Abraham. I found the following lines helpful:

“…let them look at difficulties through God. Let them put God between themselves and the disasters which threaten them.” (F. B. Meyer. Abraham. Fort Washington, PA: Christian Literature Crusade, 1979, p. 37.) Buy this book

This raises for me a discernment question: “Am I looking at my difficulties through God, or am I looking at God in the light of my difficulties? What is changing—my perspective on my difficulties or my inner image of God?”

How about you?
